Poor fm reception, is there some sort of good booster?

I just put a new head unit in my truck, and I'm not getting very good fm reception. I've had 3 different units in the time I've owned the truck. Never had great reception, but for some reason, since I put this last head unit in, it's worse.

Is there anything available to purchase and install that will help me get a better fm signal? Crutchfield sells some sort of signal booster gizmo, but it has very poor reviews, so is there anything decent out there?

they all **** really , but my brother seemed to have good results with one a few years back. He was running a panasonic HU and it would flutter in and out of stereo when you drove , he put that booster in and it picked up decently. I have a broken power antenna on my buick so i have just given up on FM. Satellite is the way to go. Plus most corporate radio ***** these days anyhow.
