K sport seems to be okay from what I have heard. Tein makes good coilovers but not springs. No matter what you go with watch the spring rates to high and it will ride bad to low and it will bottom out alot. Just get some new springs and shocks/struts.

Thats correct the shock will have nothing to do with the ride height, just the smoothness of the ride. The spring is what effects ride height. I have kyb adjustable shocks the only thing that lowers my car is the coilovers not the settings of the shock. Here is a link to the koni site for more infrmation http://www.koni-na.com/products.cfm

get springs + shocks... forget about teins, look into progress... tokico illuminas or kyb agx's are good shocks. ksport coilovers are hard to beat though for the price, they're really not much more expensive than a spring/shock setup...

please elaborate why you cannot use the perch as a height adjuster. you might want to help these guys too.

NEVER cut the springs...thats asking for the shittiest ride comfort and just putting yourself and your vehicle in danger.

id recommend the eibach pro kit: http://www.importhorizon.com/eibachprokit.html . very reptuable company, million mile warranty, maintain the ride comfort while giving you a mild drop to kill some of that wheel gap. i think the general rule is that the lower you go, the harsher the ride comfort gets.

most cases, it is recommend to get performance struts if you're gonna go with performance springs (which most springs are directed toward nowadays ie: tein, skunk2, neuspeed, progress, h&r, etc). so if you're looking for a big drop, think about investing into some struts unless you dont care about ride quality. i honestly believe you can get away with the eibach pro kit with the OEM struts...i would email eibach (or http://www.tirerack.com) to confirm that though

uh, that's why you make your adjustments before you put them on.. of course you'll need to have access to someone else's settings but if you just try adjusting them AFTER the car is on, you end up wasting a LOT of time taking the wheels off and putting them back on. i guess i was lucky when i got mine hehe, zero wasted time.
ksport is a new company, i haven't heard anything about their springs. they've sold many coilover sets, however, in the last two years and they seem to be decent for the price. to be honest, if you want springs, i would only recommend progress or eibach. those two brands are tried and tested for just about every application. i don't imagine the ksports being that much cheaper anyway. forget about tein, i used to be a tein fanboy too but was horribly disappointed at the performance of some of their springs..

If i was going to choose my desired ride height before i installed my suspension, i'd get a $200 set of springs before i dropped 2k on good coils.

And x10000, don't cut the springs. If your safety, and not crashing your car aren't worth a few $100, then i'm guessing mommy and daddy bought your car. Your suspension is the #1 factor in keeping control during cornering, braking, acceleration, andl in bumps/less than perfect road conditions. If you wreck my car, or kill my friends or family because you were too cheap to buy a real set of springs, i'm not gonna be real excited, let alone if you injure yourself or one of your friends or family, the $200 would have been well worth it.

these aren't choices we get to make later. rather than doing upgrades you can't afford, live with your PERFECTLY GOOD factory suspension for a few more weeks/months/however long until you can make a smart purchase, and upgrade your car correctly. Cut springs are no different/better/less ghetto than unpainted bodykits, imo. It's a ****ing lamborgini with no gas. i've had good experience with h&r sports on my stock struts for about 2 months until i could afford better struts. they're really soft though, close to stock ride

According to your own links it looks like your not supposed to use the perches to lower the car anyways. It said that it could ruin the strut because of being more prone to bottoming out. I didnt see one thing on the koni site stating to use these for lowering. My guess would be that its used for different sized springs. Ill look more into this and get back

but still its there for a reason. koni shocks are "suppose" to handle that height regardless since everyone have had good results with them and/or talk about how well they peform.

man this guy has all those miles on the car you dont want to get just springs. you need struts too. id recommend tokico illuminas if they make them for a camery. thats what i have on Eibach prokit springs. and since your on this caraudio site your gonna have a system back there so set the rears the stiffest so it doesnt sag, and put it on 3 or 4 in the front (which is the medum setting) they give a great sporty ride anr youll lower it about 2 inches or maybe a little less depending on what springs you get. you might need a camber kit too, when you get it aligned have them check the camber the get an adjustable camber kit and your set.

ppffeew so all in all, shocks, struts, camber kit, then aligned, and if you dont need the camber kit, sell it.

how hard was it to install your front camber kits? what kinds did you get and was it easy to adjust by eyeballing it?

i didnt need a camber kit so i sold it, but i had an SPC pillowball. and from what i read it would have been a ***** to install and adjust so thank god i didnt need it.
