low end extension

You cannot go wrong with the L7 if you want low end and SPL. I believe you said you had 1200 watts to give it which is perfect for the 15L7. Just make sure your box is built on the large end of what kicker says and tune low (26-30). Also remember that the L7 has around 20% more cone area than an average round sub which is a huge advantage if you are looking for a 1 sub set-up. I had the 15 inch L7 in a sealed box that was 2.5 cubes which is on the smaller end and a JL 500/1 and there is no question that set-up got louder and a tad lower than my current setup which is a 12 inch Brahma with 1200 watts in a 2.0 cube box tuned to 26hz. I did not have a meter but my steering wheel shook much much more with the L7 especially on those notes around 30hz.

MOFO, SX, or L7 is what i recommend
WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! he's already considering those! You're soooo NO HELP at all! You're just a freakin post wh0re! Look at your post count, what good do you ever contribute. Geez, sorry for the rant but I swear I hate combing through unnecessary sh!t. And why wouldn't TWO 15" CVR'S hit those lows??????

go with a DIGITAL DESIGNS 9515 or a 9512 they will hit the low's very nicley and with the right enclosure and amp you can approach 150 on the AC 190 Mic

Any of the other subs mentioned in this thread would pretty much kill them in terms linear output capabilities. The 9500 series have rather anemic linear displacement.

well they would. i had one sealed and it hit the lows pretty well. (well then again thats sealed hah) the only reason i was kinda shying away from this setup is cause my buddy just got 2 15cvrs (one of which was mine).. and plus i was hoping to try out a new sub.. i hate being this picky but im sure most of you are too.

I say stay with the SX. Whoever said they can't get down and dirty must not know what they're talkin about. Just make sure you tune it to 28hz and the low end will be insane........ Check out the new SI mag too when it comes out.

the SX is a nice sub like i said, dont get me wrong but low end was lacking on some parts, but part of it was because of my box, but you would deff not be dissapointed by it, the output is crazy, but i had a 12, so the 15 would be even better so go ahead and go with the SX

Look into an Eclipse SW9152 15" Ti. You can get very significant deep, deep bass output in realitively small vented enclosures. Way smaller than the L7 enclosures for sure, like half the size. At our shop, I like to push the Ti's a lot because in vented boxes they have pretty wicked output in the low extreme low region and give the W7 a very good run for the money.

I can tell you this, they will give you more deep bass output than the SX's, or XXX's. I know this from head to head comparisons. And again, in a smaller enclosure.

ok this is my opinion..........buy the sx....and put it in a decent size box and tune it low

and u will be fine

side not....L7's yes they do get loud and low but when u start playing it 4 a while the little cone support starts melting and seperates the voice coil and spider and the cone...just something u might want to consider..i've seen this plent of times

if that's true, then that would be excessive heat, aka power. You can thermal any driver no matter the design. The L7's in the right box can get loud, and don't only require a large box. Just a well designed one. Talked with a competitor of ours yesterday, working on four Solo X 10's, actually said in the 'right' enclosure, the smaller the box the louder he was getting.

Upper 20's to low 30's is low frequencies, if you want that low, you can do ported, and look for a larger diameter sub.

X2 SEEN IT

Ive done many graphs, where u put all the subs ts parameters in, and you compare subs outputs at certain frequencys. The elite killed most everything. If you dont belive me, then listen graph it, or listen to it yourself. Ghetto boy your little comment was pointless about it lighting up.
