Los Angeles set to ban ALL 900+ dispensaries

They only ruined for themselves by placing the "medicinal" tag onto selling weed. Cause it began with some legit shops with people that had legit problems. Then it became a bunch of freelance idiots that just began prescribing weed for every ache and pain.

A girl I was stationed with in Japan moved to LA and I went and visited her. While I was there she made an appointment, said her knee hurt and was smoking that night.

I was in Colorado before here and there were jackasses that would stand on the side of the road with giant signs and top hats with leaves on them. And you want authorities to believe that it is a legit operation? Not going to happen.

Now don't get me wrong, I think weed should be legal and tax it like cigs and alcohol, and use the proceeds from the taxes to combat real drugs like coke, meth, crack, etc. Those are ones that kill kids the first time they use it. I sure as hell would smoke if I could. But as said above, if it were made legal, that would take all the power out of drug dealers hands. People say that people would still buy it on the streets. The same thing was said about alcohol after prohibition and look now. I would much rather myself or friends go to a store and buy weed from a major manufacturer/grower and pay extra knowing that I am getting a good, consistent, quality product every time I buy.

Totally agree.

Alot of the medical part did become a big joke.

But, in their defense, it was and IS the only way to ever even make it possible. So they had to do it.

It does **** for the people who do legitimately use it, such as cancer/aids/chrons/arthritis/PTSD patients. Their lives ARE visibly better from using it, and getting off of opiate pills is a huge hurdle for most of those people.

Cops dont go after them, either. No real cop is going to arrest a sick individual for smoking, its just not gonna happen (maybe in some hick states, but not cali/colorado)

Getting off of opiates is a pain. I broke my ankle and had surgery to have my achilles reattached and all the tendons on the front of my ankle reattached, I was in a cast and crutches for nearly a year out of the past 2 years with it. I would have much rather smoked for my pain than them just keep giving out percocets and stuff like that and then me have to make myself be in pain cause of gaining a tolerance and dependency.

So much money could be made if it was legal and taxed though. But instead they just want to do sequestration and cut the military and pay and benefits while still giving out welfare and unemployment

I'm a former cancer patient and have arthritis, id be a perfect canidate to smoke. I do not however, take anything for the pain. FTMFL.

and yeah, this has become a 2nd rate country now. No longer at the top. Denmark or Sweeden is lookn' better all the time for me to move to. I've lived in denmark before, so I am considering moving back.

The only problem I see is then you will have weed mass produced and you end up w/ sub par product. Kinda like the diff between budweiser and good beer.

If it were legalized there would be the equivalent of micro breweries for weed pop up all over the country which would kick a**

There was (once upon a time) a federal "green card". So at some point it was legal by the federal gov for medicinal use of weed, but I dont know waht the hell happened after that.

You gotta think, most of the money they show as profits are based on that itself, profits from weed, but if you take in account taxes from throwing people in jail, jail space, public defenders, etc. in a whole, in California ALONE they were able to increase their state revenue by 11.8 billion dollars, I think they just caught up to their debt and that is the real reason they are banning marijuana dispensaries in Cali.

Thats cool. I could care less if people wanna smoke or not, none of my concern. I have a few good friends that just never liked it, did nothing for them.
It just bugs me a little bit when people who are completely oblivious to what it really is try to tell me whats safe and whats not, and how bad it is.

But really man, Are you really worried about the illegality of it, thats what stopping you? I guess I dont know kentucky laws, but here in MN a speeding ticket is more serious than a possession ticket, anything less than 42.5 grams is treated is a simple traffic violation (pay a fine) and half the time they dont even file it and never charge you.

I been caught so many times I cant even remember, and my record is as clean as a whistle.. they never ****** charge people here for it unless you are selling it or if you are black.
thats messed up lol

I think this law was one of the dumbest moves out here in Cali. What we need to do is tax it like alcohol and that would help the hole we are in. Alcohol is allot more harmful than Mary Jane.
