also hows the tweets on them?I never heard the focals so I cant tell you what sounds better. But I will say, that some people that have ran focals, have tried to get ahold of these pioneer mids to replace theirs. I love this component set and I will buy them for my next 10 vehicles for as long as they make them.
Some people say that they sound harsh. But on the xovers, you have the option to connect them to -3, 0, +3. I have mine set on +3 and it's no problem to me. They sound really clean. Just make sure you are running and amp to these components. I don't know if it was you or someone else, but someone asked if they could run comps off a HU. There is no sense in buying comps if you arent going to put a little of power behind them.also hows the tweets on them?
Yeah, I've never personally heard the focals, but from everything I've read, people love the tweets. That's one of the things I like about the Focals.... Their tweets.
i said a long time ago that i was looking for a comp set myself but would run off hu for about 2 weeks till i could pick up and ampSome people say that they sound harsh. They should handle it. I would set the gains with a DMM to make it right though.will the premiers be able to handle 175 rms? can also lay back on the gains a bit so i dont push too much to them.
well, ive read around here that DMM method isnt always 100% the best way to do it, 0-scope is the best however fairly expensive, how would i set gains with a component set? same way as you would a subwoofer? They should handle it. I would set the gains with a DMM to make it right though.
