Looking for a powerful 8in sub

I have a TC Epic 10 in a custom made ported box specific for the sub, giving it 750rms from a hifonics amp, sounds awesome. My fiance wants a sub in her car. I am looking for, 1 powerful 8in subwoofer for her. I am looking for around 500 RMS.

I personally understand the importance of a box specific for the sub but she is not looking to be competition sound. She likes a mix between SQ/SPL.

The two subs I had on mind were the new V2 SA-8 and SKAR MA8. Any other suggestions.

I am looking for a sub that will pair decent, remember we are not going into sound comps, into a prefab box, something like.. Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker Ported single 8" subwoofer enclosure (Model BB8-60V) at Crutchfield.com

CT Sounds Tropo or Strato v1 subs would work well. The Tropo is rated for 250 watts rms but I've run them at double rated with no problem or, the Strato is rated at 500 rms.

The box is what will make or break the output of the sub/s. Don't get a decent sub to only put in a meh box. Really one of the most important part of the the system, the box, that is. Just my 0.02.

Is there a company that builds boxes specific for the sub? I really do like the SA 8, but I dont no who to go to for the box. When i got my epic 10, I had a company as they made a box very similar for a sub they sold. It was elemental designs.

If you're stuck on an 8" sub take a look at Alpine, JL, or Rockford. They all have loaded 8" enclosures, and some of them are vented.

Space wise. Should be fine. Not sure what the boxes tuning is tho. Better to build one
