Shallow by definition has nothing to do with enclosure size. They have less mounting depth. Im a prime example of the application with a regular cab truck. 48" wide 24 tall 6" max mounting depth I can only fit sd and e series sundowns and happened to pick up two e8v3's.

Correct -- they simply have less physical depth.

Until you get to the SD-2 8" model; which is our only 8" optimized for sealed and goes in as small as 0.25 ft^3

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...
