Looking for a new head unit

I am 44 so yeah I get you there. I used to use Eclipse all the time for amplifiers and head units even some of their speakers. I also used Clarion Pro Audio back in the '90s for all my head units and I kill myself for selling all of them back then. As they are worth some money and they still sound great and have all the stuff you need for today for the most part.

Also the Kenwood KDC-X998 has a usb port right on the detachable face. I have 2 sitting here right now with that setup. Along with a usb cable in back as well of it.

Yea the old saying "they don't make them like they used to" completely applies here. I have this monster below powering just the single JL 10w7. I won a bunch of money at the casino here and used it to buy this baby brand new. It's completely overpowered, but I honestly don't have the trunk space in my '09 Kia Spectra to add anything more. I've already got the JL 10w7 in the HO slot-ported box which is huge and ridiculous, this amp, the JL 300/4, two farad capacitors and an Optima Yellow Top in my trunk. Not to mention all the 0 and 4 gauge wiring. I listen to a ton of drum & bass/jungle and man this system was absolutely designed for it. Pretty much anything sounds phenomenal as far as sound quality, and the SPL isn't bad either. I'll look into that Kenwood though, thank you for the heads up

I did end up going with the Kenwood DDX814 and I mostly love it. The only issue I've noted really is that it takes forever (like two mins) to boot up for use. The touch UI in it is a little wonky too. But operates just great once going. Thank you for the tips everyone!
