Hey guys.. I've been shopping around for a subwoofer to go in my 2005 Ford Ranger. I'm not fully sure what to get, or what would be the best for me. I listen to about 90% rap, so I like good bass. But, I want to still have some good SQ with that SPL.
My room is limited, and I will have to go with a sealed enclsoure that is
I was looking at the Elemental Designs 11Ov.2 / 13Ov.2. If I can manage to pull off a full cube, I'll probably go with the 13Ov.2..

That should be just about the right amount of power.. maybe underpowering it a little or so.. I would be wiring a single D2 down to 1 ohm.
I was also considering the Alpine Type-R 12" D2. I've heard mixed reviews about them.. my only problem for this one is space, but I could probably pull off the minimum for a sealed enclosure or so.
For other suggestions, yes I do have a budget. I want the Sub + Amp to be right around $300. Give or take a few.. I want pretty good SPL, while still having SQ. Any ideas?
