Leaking speaker terminals

The terminals on my box are leaking air. Is there a way to seal them or should I buy new terminals? I am wanting to get post terminals.

Prefab enclosure? Is it carpeted? I've sealed terminal cups to an enclosure using rope caulk and some glue around the terminals posts. They're the spring-loaded binding posts that lock down with a nut and split washer.

Yes it was pre fab and it has carpet

Rope caulk has fixed this problem on carpeted and bedliner coated boxes.

Rope caulk. Can I purchase it @ ACE, Lowes, Walmart...etc
