As you all know im reconing a 15" mt, Im going to home depot after I clean some shit up around the house. All I want to know is what is the best brand of 2 part epoxy for reconing? And What should I buy for shims?

manilla folder cut up in sections maybe.... not sure how large the gap on the MT is.

just cut it into little squares or something so you can slide it down into the gap. The AQ recone came with little clear pieces of plastic.... I think four of them. I used three, just make sure whatever you use you get them evenly spaced all around. As far as glue/epoxy. i just went to the Hobby store here by the house and got some CA glue. It works perfectly.

ive used playing cards when in a bind b4, also just go to a hobby store theyll have the clear film , the ca glue (get the gel kind its thicker) and the accelerator.....

so basically I want a really tight fit right? I use 1 manilla folder, didnt have to cut it up, it fit the whole 3" gap and I had to work the coil in there since it was to tight, and no rubing on the sides, this is what I want right? And thanks for all the info you all.

start to finish ive got them down to under 20 minutes with grinding off glue hell 10 or less with a new basket..lol......... after a few its pretty simple......

mmk got all that figured out, but one more q. Should I put glue between the basket and motor where the screws are, or would the screws be good enough?

well I saw some glue marks underneath the basket and wanted to know if thats what I need to do.
