Knukonceptz's Speaker Wire?

The Klear speaker is your basic, 462 strand oxygen free copper cable. The Karma is all that of Klear cable, plus the cable is twisted, tinned, and it is made of the "finest 5n purity" copper. The Kasa is all that of the Karma cable, plus the cable is silver plated, and it has a black PE dialectric jacket. Basically, it is the same as thinking of the stuff as Klear = Good; Karma = Better; Kasa = Best.

Speaker wire is speaker wire.

Copper wire is copper wire, but all speaker wires aren't made the same, there are differences in insulation, strand count, and actual thickness. Some cheap brands (most) use less copper to save money and a lot of it is stiff.

Well put Big D, materials do make a difference, strand material and the dielectric (fancy wording for the jacket material around the actual conductor) can drastically effect over all resistance and capacitance of a cable. In car audio it will be hard to hear a difference -mostly because how over amplified the bass is (good in one respect, but not for natural listening) and the added road/wind noise while driving It wont be a night/day difference, there a subtle differences and after 150dB @ 40hz, you wont notice it one bit. For the SQ guys, it can be worthwhile.

Home audio fanatics love the Kasa Kable because in the HT world, it is a very cheap alternative, folks spend over $1500 on a set of speaker cables (thats is 8ft long!) so the $2/ft looks steep compared to the 16 gauge at 0.20/ft, but if the same material is used in our $2 as the $1500 cable.........

So what is the difference between the 3?

I think by using an active preamp, you can pretty much drive any load you want, unless the capacitance is ungodly high. Now, if you have monoblocks at opposite corners of the room and 15 foot runs of IC's to them each, and are using a passive preamp or transformer volume control, then things become a little more hairy...

When you're dealing with cables, you have three params to look at, generally...capacitance, resistance, and inductance. Having a cable with very high capacitance will often times attenuate the high frequencies, acting like a low pass filter.

The situation gets worse with preamps that don't have onboard amplification of the signal coming from the source, like some "minimalist" audiophile preamps are. Since there's no active electronics involved, long runs of cable that aren't carefully chosen will pretty much guarantee results that sound like ***...
