The air isn't going to be any cooler its coming from the same place, its just going to allow more in. ANd cold air is more dense...Wow... to the two people that posted above me, id slap you if i could find youAn aftermarket filter is usualy the first thing upgraded in conjunction with other things like headers, throttle bodies, cats, etc to get a lot of added hp for cheap, a filter with less air restriction, is going to allow more air into the motor, cooler air mind you, witch is less dense witch is able to mix with gas more easily, witch is going to allow a lot more hp, more air, to mix with more gas, = more hp
I tryed to explain that the simplest way possable

Well he never specified what exactly he was talking about, and k&n sure does make a lot of products...No. An aftermarket filter wont do jack shit.
Thats a pretty hypocritical statement after that last paragraph...Well he never specified what exactly he was talking about, and k&n sure does make a lot of products...I know a 4 inch aftermarket filter sure did help increase my hp and engine temps on my 92 camaro over the stock 1 1/2 inch
Im sorry though, i forgot you were the mechanic for 8 years now
I love kids who think they know everything
Lol, now the word intake is a ricer word? lmao... Hope you don't plan on replacing ur intake manifold with that... cause those are two diffrent things..so you are telling me that this:http://www.knfilters.com/universal/X-stream.htm
Wont do jack shit oer a stock manifold, filter, everything...
Lets get over the whole ricer slang and stop calling them "intakes" and get back to basics, and use our heads here...
