does anyone know what to use to cure the rip? or should i try to recone?

i was also curious if anyone had a plan for a ported box for the sub

i wanna do a 33 hz box but no idea where to get dimensions etc.

btw picked up for 30$ with a pre build box that ima flip over

For the rip, I would either use rubber toughened C.A. glue or Goop.

Goop it up, I don't think they make drop in recones for the r. If you recone it you are probably just as well off buying another sub. Although id like to see them recones, they are cool subs

Generic recones are available on ebay for like $90 per. Not worth it.

Glue it up from the backside.

I have used it for rips and holes. If you do it right and take your time you can make it look stock again

I know it's taboo here.. but you can probably buy a prefab ported box made specifically for a type R on either ebay or amazon.

2-2.25cf at 33hz should work well

Use the volume calculator to have enough volume for sub and port displacement along with the desired airspace. Use 2 3inch aeroports or pvc if you're on a tight budget

E6000 is a good adhesive for such repairs. Super cheap on amazon too. The type-r you got, does it have the double roll surround or the OG single roll?
