Jlw7 help

i'm taking bets. whos in? box is to big.. i have 50 bucks he looses .75 cubes and it sounds alot flatter and sounds alot better regardless of port area.
What if I go to a sealed box around 1.7 cubic per chamber?

he'll need to lengthen the port or else the tuning will be in the high 30s or low 40s afterwards with just a cubic feet drop and nothing else done.
if you look a couple post up you will see i advised him to lengthen hte port.. it will keep tuning close and eat up space.

i suggested 3-3.25 tuned to 32-34 with 60in^2 of port area. it will still get down and have much better high frequency output and extension..

I'd suggest you stop thinking about different sh*t and actually do the steps we tell you. Tune your amp and head unit right with the gain and crossover set properly and bass boost turned off, then start tossing sh*t in and making your box smaller, if you cant do either of these i'd suggest you quit car audio as these are very simple things to do...

What is the exact measurements of the enclosure? I'm just seeing if maybe the cu isn't what you say it is but some people thought it was but isn't.

Do W7's like to be tuned low like some of their older subs?

First off buddy if you been reading the posts iv turned the boost off and I set my gain. Sorry I work 12 hour shifts in the navy and can't do sh*t at the drop of the dime.

How would I lengthen the port? My wood working skills are minimal.

That box looks perfect. I think you have another issue. Are you sure you don't have a filter set wrong? Cutting off 40hz and up
Before I just had one w7 in a ported box and I was not having any these issues. Its when I got the second in the new box is when sq started to become an issue.

you would have to mesure the wood inside the box. lets sey that the port wall is 14.5"s high.. you would cut a peace of wood 14.5h.. the other measurment will be depdant on the box itself and how much space you need to takeup.

can you make a lil wideo of them in action? did the shop set your gains? what box did you have before?
