I'm building a new box, and will be experimenting with removable octagon ports.

The box will be 3.5ft^3 for one 15" Rockford Fosgate T215D2

I'll start with 3 different ports.

One with 33hz tuning, one with 38hz tuning and the last with 42hz tuning.

That was fast. What's the port area going to be with 3.5 cubes? 9ish?

I can go back as far as 10 5/8"....that would be tight to the box and tuned to 42hz

Th 33hz port will be 20 3/8" and hang past 9 3/4"

I think it will be...This prototype port fits virgin tight!

I'll probably make the plate/flange a little larger so I can screw it to the box.

The longer ports will have a plate attached to keep them 6 3/4" off the back wall.

I'll put weather stripping behind the plates to keep it air tight.

I like that. If you can do 6.5 external for me I can have 33 daily and 40 for the meter
