It Has Begun... donpisto's '06 G35 Sedan Install

I wish I could get the ride pancaked, but I'd need some 17s or 18's and maybe 235's.

James, since you have the SLS's, would the 4.0 be sufficient enough to power the mids (one mid per channel, not bridged) if I were to go with the 8 or 10" SLS mids (can't quite decide which I'll end up going with. 10's are interesting but fitment may be an issue. 8's will fit much easier, but probably won't have as much kick as the 10's, though I'm assuming it still would be plenty)?

the 8"s should be plenty. I highly doubt you can fit the 10" unless you have cut-up door panels like mine in a raggedy 96 camry...

6.5"s might work... there's a pair of 4 ohm SLS 6.5 in the classifieds atm.

I don't know the ratings for the 4.0, so I don't know. It should work, though. These drivers are pretty efficient. Either that, or my amp is very underrated.

Well I'm dumb, forgot to give the specs. It does 4 x 100 @ 4 ohms.

I'm assuming it should be fine. I'll test it out first and go from there. If I need to bridge then I will, and I'll end up getting another 4.0, but from the sound of it, 75w should be plenty of power, especially if the amp is underrated.

that should be enough for any mids, especially going active

nice ride mang, how's the ride quality on those Teins?
Beautiful. It's better than when I had stock suspension with the 20's with rubberbands. But I am scraping the plastic cover under the front bumper, still gotta get used to it. I probably coulda gone with 245/30's since they aren't stretched, but the 35's serve plenty of protection...it gives me the peace of mind I need.

Check it, this is the new fad in SQ. It's like having a dashmat... everywhere! Say goodbye to unwanted reflections.

This one is the most important, because it helps defuse sound right at the listening point

And to protect your nice car and expensive audio gear, one of these are necessary.

Wow beautiful car, just not feeling the wheels. You need some low offset works or volks on that bish asap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Looks good for sure, and nice to not have the rubber bands any more on there. One of the reasons I could never drive a lowered car, I can't stand slowing down for bumps or pot holes or whatever. But that look makes it all worth it.

Nice to hear the ride is even better with the coil overs compared to stock too. Gotta be a blast to drive and the white/black looks awesome.

Can't wait to see all the audio installed gonna be a killer car inside and out.
