Is there an upside down for amps?

My Nine.1 just arrived from ED and I was thinking of mounting it to my rear deck. Would putting it "upside down" cause any kinda of thermal problems? Are amps designed to be only mounted in one direction?

I'm not seeing a cooling issue, well unless the amp can't be put upside down. Basically the elemental designs logo would be facing the floor (although it would be connected to the ceiling.

of course................however people why would it matter if the amps were upside down? any real reason?

heat rises, they design the boards so the heat doesnt flow through the board but rather off of it.

Anyways...i've heard from some people that it was ok to have it upside down. You should just go ahead and try to build a little amp rack up there so that it won't be upside down

oh good point..i guess i could put fans in the deck to keep it cool though..or atleast help it out. i have to put mine upside down.

Yeah the manual says to run the amps vertically for best cooling. I'm going to be running 2 11Ov.2's off of it. 900X1.

I've seen a couple amps mounted upside down under the rear deck, I don't think they had any problems with them. I guess it all depends on the cooling then.
