thats what i did last time and what ill be doing this time. works greatOr fabricate some clamps out of aluminum and sort of "hang it" from the rear deck. Sounds funny but I've seen it done and when done right it looks fine.
x2, it looks nice when you do that. I dont know about you'll but if I had a nice amp I would want to show it off, make it seen. However I have mounted amps everywhich way, but have always used cooling fans where airflow may be an issue.Or fabricate some clamps out of aluminum and sort of "hang it" from the rear deck. For some other amps it may cause a problem, but I remember reading an article on the ED NiNe.1 and it runs really cool even on its highest settings. It's a really good amp so you shouldn't have any problems. I've seen people design a push and pull system with 12 volt computer fans, but that may causes interference. I'm assuming your mounting it on the trunk lid for cosmetic reasons. I would suggest you reconsider and mount it under the driver seat because its
1. the install is much cleaner
2. anti-theift precaution
3. Save on power wire
