i read that one. at one time if was often though that 3db could be perceived to be twice as loud as far as subbass went in the log scae its actually 10DB and the threshold is 1db. if you cannot hear the difference you have bad hearing.

when metering the sound intensity would be doubled by doubling power(until you reached the limits of the equipment) and every time 3db increase was hear it would sound like 2x the intensity even thought we knew and understood that 10 was twice as loud 3db and a definite increase in sound intensity while 10db was substantially louder.

Thing is each person defines what they "think" is 2x as loud. its a fact that 10db is 2x the actual volume and 1db is the threshold of variance.

dude at least take a look at the precessing in the unit i have before you automatically assume i do or don't have. they thread isn't about me its about hearing the difference between the file types. some hear a difference some don't not to mention its good training for critical listening.

No, not double loudness. I think because the general nature of the "it takes 2x power or 2x cone area to gain 3db" notion that it might be also perceived as "twice as loud"
I just went from 1 12 to 2 12s, and amazingly almost gained 3db, cuz it never happens in real world. And its very noticably louder. But 148 to 151 isnt an earth shattering difference

its not scaled on the topend. where the bass? you sure you reading this right? nasty topend? don't worry i will get each driver once i have a chance.the topend is outstanding nothing nasty about it the scale is so small ill stretch it out so you can see.

the sensitivity is really high. here it is stretched out. its **** near FLAT from 10k to 20k.

that's not smoothed let me see your FR it my "topend *****" its literality one of the best sounding car audio tweeters i've hear under 300 bucks.

its not brite i assure you coming from someone who HATES bright systems. its actually not bright the "bright" sound comes from the 2-5k region 15-20 is your air. they sound open and defined. notice how i have the 2-5k cut? thats why its not bright but its AIRY. ill be shocked if it does score good it really does sound excellent. id love to see your FR for reference but no way in hell your going to do that.. FYI my box is tuned to 38 right now because i'm testing so yea 20 hz is pretty low still more than audible but my subsonic is high because im seeling well over 2k clamped @ 30hz with not SSF..

also hearing sensitivity is much lower as you approach the limits of your hearing. so between 180 and 20k its alot lower than say 10k and MUCH MUCH lower than 5k. same for subbass. once you get down to about 30hz you sensitivity drastically drops off..

i adjusted the sensitivity FFT IMO is easier to analyze if your can get past the non smoothed response you can see its pretty flat.
