last time i went meter i used the RTA VIA the termlab. like i said i don't stick to one curve all the time. for SQ comps you want a present for measurement but for reals i have different curves i like for rap, rock, reggae, techno. one setting can sound good across the board but that's the point and power of a DSP. you can FINE TUNE it for anything to how YOU like it. its not often i make adjustments but i do. not because its not capable of playing it but because i tend to like it to sound a certain way.

for critical listening i don't. i have the setting saved for that specific slope. on different stuff i like to hear alot of top-end and low-end. you could say the smiley face curve. its gives it that dazzle and air with bass you can feel(since i put the HDC3 in with the dual 1ohm coils it bassraces mid 140s). i NEVER boost anything i cut and turn the level up. that's the beauty of having 220 watts on tap i can cut to level match with no distortion on nearing the limits of the amp.

FYI i appropriate the info you do give that i do find accurate which isn't often but you do every now and again do have. lol

Maybe for your self proclaimed golden ears. But to the rest of society 3db is the threshold we notice something is different.And that's scientificly proven.

And if it's just 3db on a few frequency you won't notice at all. 3db full range is noticeable.

no matter what i do you will never agree. its beyond me. take the test yourself. 10 out of 10 no ******* way i guessed it its apparent i CAN HEAR IT.

if you cant get at least a 9/10 on that test you have hearing damage. i can hear a 1db difference.
