Is there a sub that can handle 6000-7500 watts daily?

DD99Z's can take that power daily. At the 09 DBDRAG World finals Death match, there were 2 vehicles that were to be able to complete without the woofers blowing up and both had DD99Z's. As soon as the match was over, they opened up the vehicle and touched the coil....it was barely warm. The characteristics of DD Neo's are like of no other. They have incredible impedance rise and yet still put out huge numbers due to efficiency without any heat. I'm certain, I can design a box to throw 20K RMS Daily into it without hurting it.

Putting an amp rated for that much power on a sub... sure. With my "Monster" prototype I have so far been unable to blow it up or even get close with an SAZ-4500D @ 1/2 ohm on any type of music... I run out of juice on my 6x Stinger SPV-70 batteries / 225-amp alternator well before the sub stresses thermally.

But if I clamp that power after rise I see, on average, more like 2500 counting the dips well below what the amp can actually do on music program. Similar to when we plugged it into the wall socket for several minutes :

That sub is a 3" coil... I'd say with a 4" we could maybe get a few minutes at that power, but I wouldn't call a few minutes "daily"

Guess it depends on your definition //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if it were in a box it might have a better chance. I would imagine that many 4" coil subs should easily be able to take the power as long as its music. I run one of my 12" alphas in excess of 2500 rms daily when im between builds and for the most part its fine. @2500 rms while playing music the sub sees much less average power. Its tones you need to worry about.

I dont really see an issue. Plus if you have the power who cares, turn it up till the sub starts to sweat and back off a little. IIRC Thorshammer runs his dc lvl5 10's at ~3k daily. sure its not 6-7k but thats a 10 with a 3" coil, 18 w/ 4 inch coil seems like it should take it, idk my logic could be way off base but thats my thought.

30 minutes straight at 6-7K? That's still a ton of power to one sub for a long *** time. The most I've seen one sub take in person (on music) came out of a TC/AP LMS wired to a Cactus 7K but wasn't taking nowhere near all of that amp. And certainly not for a half hour.. Your out of your mind..
AP IS BEAST-LIKE

That is the point //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Music does not = the amount of power folks claim the sub to handle.

The sub is not handling "X watts daily RMS" if you are playing an amp of that rating on music.

The correct statement would be "My sub handles "X" amplifier at "X" impedance on music."

I wouldn't tell someone that my Monster prototype handles 5000-watts daily even though I can play the 4500D on it wide open... because on music it is not seeing all of that power.

I had 10kw on two SHW 18's for awhile as a daily groundpounder. It held up for about 8 months doing to shows and demo's every now and then but finally had a lower spider seperation which induced mechanical noise. They did get stiinky once in awhile but still held together far longer than any subs ive used. Too bad getting parts for them are such a pain in the ***.
