lol, i was thinking the same thingThat doesn't make any sense. 6500 watts is 6500 watts.
Putting an amp rated for that much power on a sub... sure. With my "Monster" prototype I have so far been unable to blow it up or even get close with an SAZ-4500D @ 1/2 ohm on any type of music... I run out of juice on my 6x Stinger SPV-70 batteries / 225-amp alternator well before the sub stresses thermally.
But if I clamp that power after rise I see, on average, more like 2500 counting the dips well below what the amp can actually do on music program. Similar to when we plugged it into the wall socket for several minutes :
AP IS BEAST-LIKE30 minutes straight at 6-7K? That's still a ton of power to one sub for a long *** time. The most I've seen one sub take in person (on music) came out of a TC/AP LMS wired to a Cactus 7K but wasn't taking nowhere near all of that amp. And certainly not for a half hour.. Your out of your mind..
I'd rather have like 4. Cone area ftw.id rather have a pair of subs taking 6k-7.5k rms daily rather than one sub IMO
That is the point //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Music does not = the amount of power folks claim the sub to handle.while playing music the sub sees much less average power. Its tones you need to worry about.
