The SLA feature is designed to help you match the volume levels of the CD source to your Radio source.... that is all. It is not a bass adjustment because all frequencies are affected equally. By increasing the SLA, you are making the CD volume louder, and by decreasing it you are making the Radio volume louder.Subwoofer setting is on. Now if guys had pioneer HU id be able to explain what options it has.
For example it has option SLA (source level adjustment) if u increase it u get more bass but it distorts a lil bit
The sub cutt of frequency is set 80.
HPF high pass filter is at 80.
Not trying to sound ignorant but how do u do that?Set gains with DMM, if your still not satisfied with output, try purchasing a more powerful amp.

Not trying to sound ignorant but how do u do that?I read this info. Is this correct?
The sub is Dual voice coil 4 ohm sub, run in parallel to get 2 ohm load.
My amplifier is rated for 891 RMS watts at 2 ohms.
So i guess my target voltage is 42.2 (sqrt of 891X2)
so i should:
- Disconnect the sub from amp.
- Turn my gain/input sensetivity all the way down. Turn off bass boost and crossovers.
- Turn on my head unit. Set the volume control to 3/4 of full. Set all equalization to zero. Turn off loudness.
- Probe my amplifier's outputs. (what do they mean by that?)
- Insert a CD (any CD or it has to be a TESt tone CD?).
- Play music and adjust the gain until you reach my target voltage (42.2).
- Reconnect sub and verify proper operation. Set crossovers and EQs
Well with loud on (set on MIDS) i get decent bass. I was saying with loud off i don get much.i have the same deck, what is your subwoofer volume on, on the deck?do u have loud on?
Well then u r talking about SUB-W2 control. Mine is actually is set at 80Htz. Im gon try 50Hz today then. There's a subwoofer volume control built into the deck, its the button closest to the volume knob on the upper left, press it once, it should allow u to turn off and on the subs, press it again and it brings u to the volume control of the subs.
sub- 50hz
mids- 80hz
loud- high
eq- off
