And it wasn't meant for strength in a birch box.....read again. 1 piece of 1" birch is = to 1.5" of MDF in strength. The resin is for sealing only.
Hmmm... I've heard that HDF (High Density Fiberboard) is lighter than MDF and it's much stronger... If its dense enough to call it HDF instead of MDF than why, according to your theory, is it lighter? Just curious cuz I'd love to know whether HDF is justa gimmick or if its really what its suppose to beMDF is more dense, hence why it weighs more per sheet.
