gotta love them 700r4 *****...biggest pos od ever made by gm...though with the first in the ***** with 4.11,bet it gets out hole like no tomorrow...
w/o serious work ( 3800 series heads,ported to the hilt,oversized valves,monster cam,much higher compression,ported tbi,custom made chip,etc..)

still can't see no more then 200 hp...tops without the above work...

Just with a new came and heads you can easily do 280 being that even a nova with a 700r4 ***** can do the same almost fully stock with very little modification.

Hopefully people dont start trying to spend an extra 10,000$ from your advise just to get 300hp out of any car.

But you will indeed need a chip to do so.. Jet performance cheapest chips can do it.

280hp...? from just heads and cam on a 2.8...? not hardly.... minus a 100hp will be closer..if my advise was to be given in the matter of coaxing power out of something for cheap...minus about $8000 off your figure and youwill have something that runs low 11's with ease...

fwiw jet chips are another pos...

when you learn half of the stuff I have forgotten over the years,then come with something better...

Jet chips were the main top notch chips at the time when muscle was being phased out.

If you didnt notice in my post im not a straight muscle fan and when i was i did very little work..

Im in the new electrical and computer systems as for my galant..
