Import Tuner vs American Muscle - Your Opnion? Pictures

They both have a bunch of good options... its all about personal taste. Anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant or just doesn't want to admit it. Ive driven numbers of fast muscle cars, and have had an 18g turbo'd civic SI, Modded GTP, Modded WRX and a Modded Speed6 and I really came to love the 2 awd cars. Almost bought my associates 650+hp GT500 that was a beast too. Still drive the SPeed 6 for a daily driver til I decide what car I want to build on next... put more work into this car already though really like it. AWD, 6 speed, turbo/intercooled plus lots of creature features from heated 2 tone seats to xenon adjustable headlights, moonroof, bose, one touch windows, etc. Might just end up building this motor. Almost to 100k and had no issues since ive had it. Not the best import but its decent. Heres the stang too..

Must be nice having all that disposable income. Lol

A lot of ford guys put Chevy motors in their junk fords. Lol All that tells me is that they realize Chevy power plants are way better. Don't see too many Chevys with ford 5.0. Lol
I'd rather drop it in a 70-72 c10
Don't underestimate the ford 5.0 It is very capable. I'm building a mild 302 for my 88 f150. Just a cam, ported heads and full exhaust and it should be at about 350hp.

This is my DD 2014 focus st should be at ~300whp and 370 torque on 93octane

New 5.0(coyote) awesome, old 5.0. not so much by todays standards...

Yeah I know it is. Just never made sense to me when a guy says "Im a full on ford guy," or something like that and they got a LS motor in their mustang. Lol There is way more chevy motors in fords than there are ford motors in Chevys.

Pretty much all old pushrod style engines are subpar to modern engines. Sure they can make big power but lose fuel efficiency and drivability as a cost. There is a reason most automakers use overhead cams and multiple valves per cylinder along with many starting to use direct injection methods. There are many stock modern engines that make great power and maintain being great dds.

if I could do what I want, it would be to drop in the new 5.0 into a c10. but I don't have as good of a source for ford engines as I do for chevy
not too many new style 5.0 in junkyards too pull for $75 on half off day...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ls by far the budget beater...

2010 LT/RS Chevy Camaro - 6 Speed Manual - 3.6L High Feature V6 - Rated stock at 312hp, only performance mod so far was a cold air intake. Been working on the audio for some time just haven't had the energy to post the build log. So far I've installed: 7" Pioneer touchscreen, all new CDT components up front, tang band 6x9 subs in the rear deck for extra mid/rear fill, custom 10" PSI reconed eD sub in a custom fiberglass enclosure, and a Memphis belle 5 channel to power it all.

I know it's not the baddest car on the block but I love it...
