Image Dynamics...need help w/ something

Hey fellas..

Well, I've chosen to go with the Image Dynamics brand..I'm more of a sound quality kind of guy, and from what I've heard those things can still pound so it's a win-win situation.

Help concerning:

Deciding between the 10" or the 12"

The model of ID...not sure which is good, there's like...2 different kinds, I think..

Can't really decide if I want two 10" subs or two 12" subs...I listen to Heavy, Heavy metal....the stuff you're mother told you never to listen to really, lol...and I need something that will hit with great accuracy, because there's alot of shit going on with the songs, if you know what I mean...

I am told 10" respond faster...but 12" hit deeper (LoL, if this isn't true, don't mind me, I'm still new at this ya know..)

The price isn't really a concern for the ID brands, they arent too bad with the 12 or the 10, from looking at sounddomain.com's prices...

So, if you could assist me, I would greatly appreciate it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks,

Hmm, yeah IDQ's

But...if I got 12"...they'd still hit pretty quick for my music, right?

The 10" are 250 watt rms- 500 watt peak...even though I know that's pretty loud.. (Put two of them...give them like..300 watts each, that's 600 watts from the pair...I think..lol)

But...looking for that extra pound...distinguish me from the crowd, if you know what I mean..

The 12" i think are 350 watt rms-700 watt peak..

Either or...it's pretty much a win-win situation you're suggesting?

Can't really go on assumptions like "should" buddy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

sure thing. I used to listen to metal. Now I listen to everything. Do you not like anything hip-hop ish at all? Because there are groups like Outkast, for instance, who have very admirable beats, yet don't rap about raping women and killing (insert n-word here).

I like the Beastie Boys...does that count? LoL...yeah I know there are a few good songs out there, and I sometimes listen to them, but it's getting pretty dull, can't match the variety of Metal these days. I also listen to Classic Rock, like Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Hendrix, ect...

But my place is in Metal, it just appeals to me above all the others.

Haha, definately. For 50 dollars more, I'm getting a hell more power...seems worth it

Don't mean to rip your heart out, but I don't even have a car yet...lol, but, hey, who ever said planning ahead isn't smart? If I can't fit the 12", I'll go with 10", no big deal..

Of course, I'm only getting a car that has a huge trunk to fit it...lol, otherwise no way jose...

Figured I'd plan ahead and get the blueprints out early, so I don't have to worry about it and rush things...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Besides, people around my town already know me for the music I tune to, so might as well get something that'll break a few necks, instead of turn a few heads, if you catch my drift...

It's only like $50 more than two IDQs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Where's the "drooling" smilie, lol, because that things beautiful

LoL, 50 more than two IDQ's, lol...haha, sounds like a sales pitch to me!

Ack lol, I just read what you said about the IDMAX...I thought you said IDQ, lol..which was 50 dollars more than the v.3....lol, **** eyes, that's a sure sign of TIME TO GET SOME SLEEP KENNY...lol

The IDMax is a great sub, and provides more bass and SQ than any normal person will ever need. The IDMax ,IMO, will outplay 2 IDQs, but as of lately the IDQs have been going very cheap on ebay. So cheap, I considered putting them in a setup that I am building for someone for SPL. IDQs put out very high numbers and work in the smallest of enclosures. AS you said, you are in a win/win situation.
