By a solid 1000w amp I mean a good amp that will put out 1000w + a little.

That Phoenix Gold is probably underrated, and it wouldnt suprise me if it doesnt do more than 925 RMS.

Yes, it is enough to make the sub move.

It's just the price that's kind of bothering me, you know man? Real big purchase...lol, just need some time to get my money straight and shit.

If I find like 2 IDQ 12" on ebay for 100, well of course I'm gonna go with that, but if not, IDMAX will come...it's just the 450 dollars, lol.

I'm pretty sure I'll need to fit it in a good box...any recommended boxes...like sizes or brands who make em? I'm not very crafty, so making it myself is out of the question, lol.

It says the recommended storage, but what would be the perfect setup for it. Sealed, Ported, ect...

Yea, one of the great things about an IDMAX is that it doesnt need a 10 cube ft box to sound great! And in your case wanting to play metal, I would use a sealed box anyways.

Now all you need is a new AMP, HEADUNIT, Front SPEAKERS, WIRE, and a hellofalota sound deadening stuff.

As it turns out your operations "Earthquake" will take longer than "Operation Desert Storm" or the next time we smach iraq. Only dif is car audio stuff is FUN... there is always something better, something new, someone you just cant live without..

here ya go bud.. seems like it might be a deal. Email the guy and see what model it is. V2 or V3 and ask how many ohms it is and what condition and so on.. Seems like he pushed it pretty hard though.. but for $200 in a box free shipping, I might take that risk..
