Probably not only real problem here was improperly set gain

Crisis averted, sub wiring fixed. Now a new issue, my prefab box doesnt fit the hds312 lmao. Cant win. Luckily ill have tine saturday to build a box.

So his sub was wired to 1 ohm? You should be able to sand off some to make the opening larger on the prefab, if you want. Don't forget, try to make the box on the larger side. Perhaps 2.5 cu ft.

Yeah, I wired it to 1 ohm by mistake.

At this point, might as well just have a large custom box after all this nonsense. How does this look?

Yeah, it's crazy. I've learned a lot though. I've also never had so many hiccups for one project lol.

Can't wait for the nightmare of cutting a hole for the sub.

I got a month before I gotta go back to work... I could try to build my own box but it would probably look like dookie and sound like it too so I'm paying CSCStang to build my box cause I prefer perfection

A 4 x 8 feet sheet of mdf is 35 dollars at home depot. Wood glue, screws and caulk is another 10 . Shouldnt cost more than 50 for that size of a box. Plan cutsheets better. Its like playing tetris.

Im considering the math. If it costs $50 to build my own box, and it takes me 3 hours to build, thats essentially costing me $150. A win/win would be to find someone to build a basic 2.5^3ft box for $100 locally.
