I'm new and looking for advice based on my budget.

Coming from the guy who's dad wont let him save money, LMAO. You will lose this argument. You're dad doesn't realize that eBay is one of the largest and most established online companies. He's a douche, and so are you.
I don't think you have a right to call him the dumbest person in history? I don't understand how you are capable of being THE person to make that call? Who are you to declare that?

I can understand wanting to buy from a shop. There's nothing wrong with that. It's not your money, if you think it's dumb to for THEM to spend THEIR money. Then so be it, no one cares. Insulting people isn't a very effective way of giving money saving advice. I hope you aren't an accountant or anything.

Roper, Boston Acoustics make's great speakers. I'm glad that even though you didn't go ID (like you should //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) you went with something good. You might see what other amps they have to offer than the kenwood, but all in all you will probably be satisfied!

Just remember you have the option of getting stuff from a friend of mine for just above cost, with warranty. All he'll do is buy it for you from a shop and send it to you. He's out of los angeles. I already told him about you and he said you'd beable to get some nice stuff for your budget. Like focal or image dynamics speakers and an arc audio 5 or 6 channel amp.

I'd rather just get back to the topic at hand and let "Eat Italian" gtfo this thread with no further discussion.

EDIT: Woah, a bunch of posts in the last few minutes, sorry. Thanks by the way shaneb, horseman.

I haven't made any purchases yet, so don't think i'm definitely going with the Boston Acoustics and such. I mean, honestly, it's probably most likely, but I may be able to get the prices down a bit.

Joshua, thank you very much, but even then i'd have to pay installation, shipping, etc. I feel as though it would just create more of a hassle than this process needs to be. At the stage i'm at now, it's most likely going to just be a matter of negotiating some lower prices with the guys at Sound Trax.

Thanks for your help everyone, this thread isn't over or anything, but I wouldn't have really known where to start without some of the assistance i've received.

Good catch Shaneb, I edited my post and added some little things. I'm not going to be ordering the stuff from Joshua, though he is only trying to help, I think it's just an added hassle. I may be able to negotiate prices down now that the guy sees that I am interested in what he has. He also said he is willing to flex a bit on installation prices, seeing as I already have an aftermarket head-unit.

The next step is building my box. My brother-in-law is in construction and said he can easily come across the following supplies: (This is from "How to build a subwoofer box" at crutchfield.)

* Jigsaw

* Electric drill with bits for pre-drilling screw holes and driving screws

* 3/4" MDF (medium density fiberboard)

* 2" drywall screws

* Panhead sheet metal screws (1/2" and 3/4")

* Carpenter's glue

* Silicon caulk

* Non-hardening rope caulk

The last item on that list was a Speaker Terminal Cup. I saw the picture of one, but how do I get one? Do I just buy it from an audio store?

Also, does anyone have any dimensions or diagrams for a nice box for two 10" subs? My brother-in-law said that all he'll need is a blueprint or some dimensions and he can build whatever I need.

(Whichever is best, sealed, ported, bandpass. My brother-in-law is a construction worker/carpenter, so he will understand the diagrams just fine. Thanks if anyone can come up with one.)

Ah, I haven't picked out the subs yet, so I suppose i'll have to wait on building the box. Thanks.
