yes agreed you are reducing sound quality by adding the BP option. but it would be so minuscule you would never notice it. you think you could tell a difference? and if you can I would like to see the test done. Also my point is he made it seem as though adding the BP power option would turn it into a HDC3. Which it will not in any way shape or form. Completely different motor structure and soft parts.

Im just saying, by adding that option you are basically trying to make it handle the power the HDC3 can handle straight from the factory for cheaper.

and what is wrong with buying a SQ woofer with more power handling? The thing I will point out is if your doing a true SQ sub stage you more than likely wouldn't need anymore than 500 watts. The true definition has been so skewed on this forum

So ordering bp power, instantly means he has no sq anymore? No it just means if he wants to he can throw extra 500rms to them. And im running 1200rms(only 200rms extra) and my coils get hot so bp power is a great idea. You should stop talking because its getting more and more obvious you really don't know what your talking about.

I just cant understand how your VC's would be getting anywhere near dangerously hot with that kind of power... I highly doubt with the power your running your reducing the life of your sub drastically, for your setup BP would be pointless imo.

BP = piece of mind, it's just a $40 cooling hole.

And easier to sell if you change your mind.

BP is also more about cooling for burps that the extra daily.

Also, I agree, if you are going straight for ported with no

stop at sealed, go HDC3. It's cheaper, and the more I hear

you, you want loud.

you realize for most systems out on the road today they arent even close to 1000 watts of true RMS power? it would make sense those VC's become hot with 1000+ watts

What the hell? Even with bp the Q can only handle 1500rms, the Q will never be an hdc3. Again you PHAIL!!!
