Im choosing the AQhdc3 18 over the FiQ 18

Just because you have an 18 doens't mean it can't sound good. In terms of SQ, and I'm not talking about sounding good as others people refer to SQ, but true SQ, you can have it blend it well with the rest of the setup. It's doable, trust me.

And as 02parkave mentioned, if you think 18's are slower or muddier, you're wrong again. My RL-p 18 kept up very well and had no problems with double bass. I listen to all sorts of music. And as bass-aholic mentioned, some people tend to think that 10's can't get low. Maybe you haven't heard a proper setup and even used the proper sub. It is possible and easily doable. Just choose the correct driver.
