I will bet my life that 99% of the people in this thread who say the Q is SQ and the HDC is SPL have NEVER owned/heard them both in proper enclosures/installs. I've installed/owned several of each. I'd go so far as to say not ONE of you could tell my HDC's apart from a Q....until I turned it up louder then the Q could get. They both sound VERY good for a daily set up and will get loud and hit low.

To the OP.....why the hell are you SOOOOO over analyzing this shit. It's a **** hobby not life or death, buy a ****ing sub already and throw it in a box and decide if YOU like it. NO ONE on this site can tell you what sub you will like better, only your ears can do that.

Having owned both the Q sounds better but the HDC3 gets pretty **** loud...personally id go hdc3...but you need to make a choice
