I'm back and ready for a new build

What's up caraudio ? I've been out of the game for a few years and ready to jump back in. Between buying a new house , my wife a new car and me and my sons 6 hockey leagues between us shit was hectic for a few years. Now everything is settled down and I want to a build in my daily. I have some stuff laying around I never used I'm going to install for a front stage but still need a substage.

I have two sets of focal polyglass 6.5 comp sets and a kicker 350.4 and a soundstream 540.2 to run them. I ordering up a mechman 240 for the cherokee and have two 135lb interstate 8d's for juice and a exude agm as a starting batt , big three in 4/0 is already done. Looking to do a budget air mover , I know people love the OA's and was ready to pull the trigger on 4 18's. space is no issue , it's going in a cherokee that's gutted from the front seats back. Amp wise I was looking at the opti 4001d to run at .5. Even if I get 2500 after rise that's still plenty for the OA's to get loud.

Anything else I should look into , as I said its been a couple years and I'm not sure if there is some new forum boners I should into.

That red 4hp looks pretty nice as does the one with the PAP cone.

It's a shame you would never find another pair of 18" Eclipses. a 4 piece of those would be great on 4K.

Anyway, there's always a new company springing up rebadging the same Chinese goods. Jump on board with one of the pre-sales on one of them, or save your money for about 2 months and buy something used about 2 weeks before Christmas....people always sell their stuff for peanuts mid-December.

I'm not looking for a super budget setup (all Chinese ) , I have roughly 2k to dump on a substage and I can build and design my own box , I'm not a noob I've been around the game for 20 years u just took a couple off.

Ill never hit a meter and could care less if I don't hit a 50 , I should though with 4 18's and 4k. I've always wanted to do a big cone area build and am very conservative with money , but I'm at a point in life where I'm financially stable to do a nice build. I have no credit card debt , paid off vehicles , 120k in equity in my house , a nice 401k and a good chunk in the bank.

I'm 33. I was interested in car audio since I was around 10. I had my first setup paid for at 14 and it sat in my room till I could drive.

The only space restraint I have is I have to be able to fit a hockey bag and 3 sticks in the jeep 3 days a week. Those look pretty nice.

Well Korean amp and China subs. Really everything good is made in China now... the "high end" lines are mostly Chinese parts assembled in USA. Sadly the remaining US speaker manufacturers don't do high power subwoofers. They're more PA, guitar cabs, home theater, and the like. Like I said, I'd get on a pre-order for either an up and coming company or a new line from one of the guys who have been around a little while. The point being is that most of the mid-level stuff is pretty much all the same and you really don't need to drop 500$ + on a sub that'll only see 800-900W.

Can you even fit 4 18's and adequate port in Jeep? I think 3 side to side with top port may be better.
