passenger side louder than driver side

Is this normal I measure voltage on amp and left has lower voltage than right in fronts and rears and when listening I can tell the passenger is louder than driver side. Its not my radio or amps bc It did it in my stock radio and aftermarket and my alpine amp and cadence amp. When I sit in driver side things seem to be centered maybe a little to the right but in passenger side vocals are all to the right and its like listening to just that side of those speakrrs

I have to start with the obvious since you didn't say...

HU balance controls centered?

Amp gains set properly using reference signal, or pink noise? (especially if you are bridging and there is a gain setting per side)

Bad RCA cable from HU to amp(s)? Swap L/R RCAs from the HU and see if problem swaps sides.

Bad crossover causing unbalanced impedance load on amp? Swap L/R speaker outputs at amp and see if problem stays with speaker.

You basically need to isolate and then eliminate each component in the chain one at a time by swapping L/R inputs then outputs to see where the problem is. Do this on everything even if you think the component should be good because it is new. Make no assumptions.

it is the same with any type of equipment i am using, i did kinda figure it out a little, does the cross over on the amp have anything to do with it, b/c it seems when i lower my xover for my highs/mids, the lower i go the more i hear on the left, and the higher i set my xover it seems to balance better, i think that the xover on the amp would have anything to do with that, b/c i thought it just changes the freq.

I think you either have crossover settings incorrect, or wiring incorrect, or both. How *exactly* are the fronts, rears, and sub wired?

make sure you havn't got your front and rear rca's mixed up with the left and right inputs on your amp
