Illegal Car Tint??? WTF

i got pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt...isnt that illegal for them to pull me over because thats a secondary offense or some ish?

All i'm going to say is not wearing one is the dumbest things a person could do.

So is speeding, so is drinking, so is drugs. It's a person's choice and I don't think you should be able to get ticketed over that. If they wanna do something to make it a requirement for minors, fine, but an adult should be able to do as he pleases. What bothers me most about my state is that you can be pulled over and ticketed for no seatbelt, yet they just got rid of our helmet law, so it's no longer necessary to wear a helmet while on a motorcycle. I would have to say that is 10 times dumber than no seatbelt.

Correct it took about 10 mins or less. I looked at the time and didnt let them search it and after I said no to the search they called the dog and found nothing then out pops the ticket kinda random huh. I have been stopped before same county and everything and let them search it and no ticket so I think bc I said no I got one since they had to call a dog in and wait. Can they legally pull you over and the only reason they give you is your windows are a little dark? I thought there has to be another reason like speeding or such?

***** you got the ticket. i'd go to the doc like previously mentioned and get a Dr. note. I had lasik done on my eyes and the dr said he would do it. well to the original OP in general most states the legal limit for a car is 35% all the way around my tip is to get an suv the tint laws are a little foggy on the matter and you can mainly get away with it. I for instance have 5% all the way around and have been pulled over 1 time and they didnt say anything about the tint just the subs being to loud

Op you need to figure out a way to get the eye doctor to give you something saying you need to have tint. Night blindness is one idea....

When you get those put on your license, you are actually getting a restriction on your license. A cop can then give you a ticket for driving a non-tinted vehicle....

They try to make it that way! AND here in MI, it is "Obstruction ov vision or control" which can carry 3 points just as bad as driving with your kid on your lap!

I was wondering say if you make your window not able to be rolled down can they give you a illegal tint ticket if they cant test it?

Know your state laws. Either comply with them, or expect to get hassled. It might be worth it for a weekend fun car, but probably not a good idea on your daily gotta' get to work car.

NEVER CONSENT TO A SEARCH!!! If they ask to search your car, you should ask them if you are free to go. If you are not free to go that means you are being held on suspicion of a crime. STFU and do not surrender any of your rights.
