Illegal Car Tint??? WTF

Well Great local county Cops decide to pull me over for no reason at all. Doing 45 in a 45 just driving along the road it was little after midnight. I pull over and not thinking about it the cop ask me to roll the window up a little so i did and well 6% tint illegal tint. Then he ask if anything is in the truck he needs to know about and ask for ID so I tell him I do have a handgun where my wallet was so I step out and let him get it and secure the weapon which I didnt have a problem with. Then he wants to search the truck for no reason when I was honest about the gun and even told him there is 20ga shotgun shells in the truck. I told him no just due to the fact I felt that was a little uncalled for since I was being so **** honest with him and my truck is a disaster in the back and just felt a little embarrased honestly for anyone to see it. So they call a K-9 and the dog doesnt make a sound so I get a 116 dollar ticket and it says 6% front driver window. So either I pay 116 dollars or remove the tint correct?

Can I deny rolling my window up or take the fuse out of the panel under the dash where they cant be rolled down or up and will that make it where he cant issue me a ticket for that since he needs to be able to read the tint darkness? I wear contacts so cant I get a medical release as well or what could I do to get around this. My truck and tint is 10 years old so its not as dark as what it used to be. The main reason I have the tint is due to the King ranch leather and I am very light skinned and drive 2-3 hours a day so the sun really gets to me.

I wear contacts and all I had to do was tell my eye dr that the sun hurt my eyes and asked him if he could wright me anything so I could get darker tint and he did without a problem. All depends on the dr tho bc my old one wouldnt give me a script for it. I guess there is a perk to havin a jew eye dr after all

Op you need to figure out a way to get the eye doctor to give you something saying you need to have tint. Night blindness is one idea....

True, Also I had another question is there a law stating I have to roll down my windows for him to put the meter over the window. I think next time I get pulled over I will just pull the fuse out of the panel and tell him the window motors are blown and dont work. Then he cant test the windows correct and without a meter reading he cant cite me a ticket correct?

Just pay the ticket.

I have 35% on my windows and I was stopped for "too dark of a tint".....because the cops couldnt see thru my side windows or the rear window....fucking retard cops. Clearly you can see why below..

Depends on how long you have had the ticket, you might as well pay it. Hell I had illegal tint for 4 years before I got a ticket. But it was 15%

I had illegal tint in my 99 Grand Prix GT. 5% on the rears, 35% on the fronts. Got a warning 1 time the entire time I had the car over 6 years. I got multiple warnings for my illegal tinted license plate cover and red turn signals. They usually issued warnings after I was caught speeding, but never wrote me for any of it.

I believe you have to follow those orders as I don't believe he needs to get a warrant. Another option rather than the fuse, which I'll be trying primarily because my fuse box isn't accessible without opening the door... When I get tints in the spring, I plan to wire up a "kill switch" to my windows. So I get pulled over, roll down the windows, flick the switch and, "I'm sorry officer, my motor/switch must be broken, the window won't roll up".

i got one a few months back. measured 5 percent, legal in that county was 29 or something like that. Bought the car that way, removed it and ticket went away.

On my monte i had 20% all the way around, i was pulled over twice just for window tint but only got warnings. Both those times it was at night.

Then again my friend had 20% tint on his car, he got pulled over at night, the cop let him off and then a $120 ticket shows up in the mail 2 weeks later for window tint.
