If install battery, what else do I need?

Hi, I decided I probably need a second battery for my subs... What all do I need? Do I just hook up my battery to my car battery and place it in the back with my subs? Or do I need to get a better alternator or something?

wow im suprized there have been no posts to this thread with what you said in red....

run a power wire from ur front batt to the rear, ground batt in rear, make sure you fuse both front bat from rear visa versa..

Audiobahn Immortal??? is that the old skool one??? if so from what i remember that's a pretty d@mn nice sub!! But yeah just run the fused power wire from your main batt to the batt in the rear. Find a good spot to ground the rear batt make sure to Sand any paint from the ground spot. then run a second fused power wire to the amp and ground amp to batt to the same spot you ground your batt. Would be good to do the BIG 3 also!!

What? Google? So it can lead me to other forums just like this that get half of an answer? Figured I could place the question on a forum for help... seeing as this forum did put this section in here as "Wiring, Electrical and Installation Help"

I posted that thing in red from the start... because last time I posted a question on here, it took 40. 40 responses just for me to get a solution to my answer. 90% of it was flaming me on my selection.

the Big 3 is just up grading your ALT to batt wire, ALT ground, and batt ground....

What kind of battery should I buy?

Don't have a whole lot of money, don't really know how to repleace my alternator. Would it ruin my alternator if I didn't do that?
