HU Grounding question

I have a Pioneer P6900UB HU, and I popped the Pico Fuse, so now I have an alt whine. I wrapped some wires around the RCA shields, and it helped a lot. But, there's still a bit of it. The way the HU is set-up, it's incredibly hard to get anything in there to create tension and fully wrap it around the shield. I was thinking about getting Terminal Rings

Snipping the end, and stretching it open big enough to fit over the Shield, then bend the bottom up to put the wire in.

My question is: would this be enough to stop the alt whine?

Or should I just keep trying with the wire 'till I get it right?

I've had like 8 Pioneer HU's and never ran into this problem its crazy. I see it but never had the issue.

Lately I have just been wiring directly to the battery just for my sake.

that pico fuse is just a risistor... find out what the risistance is on ur factory pico fuse and install the appropriete resistor...

as far as the engin noise ect... just run a ground from the car chassis of to the bolt on the back of ur deck, then from there to factory wire harness ground, and outter shild of rca's... has allways gottin rid of the noise for me..

here's one location, i have more pics but can't find them....and if you don't know, when you open the unit the pico's are about the size of a grain of rice, are black and have a 'P' on them

my unit has 3

I can't even see it in that picture. e_e

Besides, something about opening my HU and changing something scares me. I've taken stuff apart before... but the likelihood of me putting it back together and it working is like... 30% fail-rate. I don't want my HU to fall in that 30%.

Or is this relatively easy?

I have some soldering skills and build computers for some spare cash every now and then.

So if you think this is as easy/a bit harder, tell me... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I just ran a wire from my RCA shields to the frame relatively close to my HU and it fixed it, mroe or less. But, like I said, I couldn't really wrap the RCA shields too well.
