IDmax12 2ohm or 4ohm?

I currently have a xtant a6001 ti amp. The manual says to have the ohm load no lower than 2ohms. Im trying to pick between a D4 or D2 IDMAX 12 sub.

Supposedly running the D2 in series (giving 4 ohm total load) will give better sound quality, but the amp says 300w @ 4ohm! (versus 600w @ 2 ohm). Is this sound quality claim true? Will it sound better at 4 ohm with less power ????

no, thats BS. get the dual four and wire it to two ohms.
