IA DP 15" truck work log...

Wow is that box needlessly complicated. I hope it all works out for you in the end.

I tried something similar with my single 10" box (meaning a bunch of complicated angles and such to get more airspace and port area), and it was not as loud or as good sounding as my simple 10" box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Something tells me that you would have been better off making the box smaller and using less small/awkward pieces.

I have a single cab ranger, and when I see alot of work poured into making one loud without a blowthrough it falls in the sexy category. I see alot of devotion in your work, and not to mention quality. Is there any reason you decided on IA?

Thanks man!! Here that motivates me a lot!! The reason I went with IA is when I first got into car audio they had just stared and there products looked awesome. My first sub was an LI and I loved those babies to death!!! Then later I got the 20.1 and loved that. Also the DP has been my dream woofer since I got into car audio. Any and every dealing I've had with IA has been excellent. Just can't go wrong with them!

Your probably right. I kinda have a back up plan if this box doesn't perform as good as I hope. If it fails, I'll try my hand at glassing and see if I can get better results with that rather then just all MDF. Probably try areo's also if I end up glassing it.

I happen 2 have on and had a pretty nice setup in it...i think that it couldve been considered sexy....oh well, 2 bad i have bitten the blowthrough bullet

I'd like to do a blow through, it would be so much easier then playing around with all these angles and tiny winy pieces. I use the truck like a work truck and I just can't justify losing any bed area. I already sacrificed a lot with my tool box but that is needed to hall all my tools.

Thanks for the comments guys!! Idk when I'll be finishing this. I have a couple other builds going on and I still don't have my dust cap yet so, probably by the end of next week you should see install pics and maybe a couple videos!!!

I wish I would have tried fiberglass the first time. Would have saved me a lot of time and effort on a box that I just ended up throwing away. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

You'll know what that means...... DP is ready to go, well close to ready. I need to get some CA glue. Quick question though... Would "krazy glue" work to glue the cap back on????

Jon

i would say no jon.
go to your local michaels hobby shop, and score some ca glue. should be like 8~10 with accelerator.
Ok cool. Figured I'd ask since I have some laying around the house.

I think you'll deffenetly be done before me. I've got 2 drywall jobs running right now that both need to be done ASAP!! So I haven't had a lot of time to devote to my box.

I did put the atomic back in Sunday though. Good lord is the sub stupid loud!!!!! I can't believe I still have the stupid thing. I have my amp setup so 60 on my HU is my "top level". Put in some Hypnotize (screwed vers.) and put it up to 57 and //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif :crying: I could sit in the truck!! It blew me away how loud it was. Its the loudest I've ever played that setup and OMG!!!!! My friends think I'm crazy for upgrading from what I have now!! Makes me almost not want to sell the AP. Sub has soooooo much potential!!!

I might try and get some work done on the box this weekend. Depends on how busy I am.
