I think I know what sub I want, now how to achieve the right look..

Im at shcool, so I cant look it up. How much will that run me?

But today at lnuch, someone showed me his car. He flipped down the back seat, and there were two 10's pioneers and they were insane...

But I still want louder, I like everything suggested in the thread so far. Great stuff

Oh, question.
I know that the lower ohms the better, but arnt amps more expensive for lower ohms. So then id want to get higher ohms and lower guage wire?
nah "lower ohms" is not better. and no amps that work that low are not expensive.

its getting that same power at 4 ohm is wheres the moneys at.

Crunch "PowerZone" Mono Block Amplifier 1000 Watts Max

the problem there is the Max rating.....anything rated MAX or Dynamic, or Total......ignore that number. the number you are looking for is RMS.....and if its nto listed in a particular product, look elsewhere. that 1000 watt amp there, may.....may put out 250 wats, but i doubt it. instead of going on about the sub(s) and the amp, chose subs accordingly. Remember 2 dual 4 12's can be wored down to one ohm, and a dual 4 15, can only be wired down to 2 ohms. you should be looking for an amp that does its rated power @ 1 ohm.

if you get a single 15, that is dual 2, it can be wired down to 1 ohm.

Bottom line here is.....do you like square or round?

lol, later bro

I see. Well i have pretty much rid the idea of a single 15.

And the bottom line is round..

if you want your setup to get real loud, and sound real good, and you are willing to spend some money, i highly suggest getting a pair of these two subwoofers;

http://www.stereointegrity.com/Magnum12.html

call them @ Phone: (704) 996-0850 to find out how much a pair would cost you.

KEEP IN MIND, a PAIR OF DUAL TWO OHM SUBWOOFERS WILL ONLY YIELD A 2 OHM LOAD, OR A .5 OHM LOAD!!

LOWER OHMS (aka resistance) IS NOT A BAD THING! when you compete in the highest ranks of sound quality it may become an issue, but when you are having a daily driver - i HIGHLY DOUBT you will hear an audible difference unless you are superman

so if you got Stereo Integrity Magnum DUAL2's you would need an amp that puts power out at 2ohms or .5ohms. 2ohms is eaiser to find, a good amp for that would be the CROSSFIRE 2000D

http://www.crossfirecaraudio.com/navProducts.asp?Cat=17&Sub=32# (click vr2000d on the menu).

http://www.cbrstereo.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=681

finding an amp that will do a good amount of power at 2ohm is kind of tough. getting two DUAL 4 OHM subs would be a cheaper alternative

it all depends on how much money you are willing to spend.

fiberglassed?
