i need help with my subs

right now i have a pioneer deck and 2 12" kenwood tornados, the blue ones.

thet run each at 35 to 160 rms, is that decent or did i just get crappy subs. also i need a amp to bump them , but i got no clue on what to use. don't got that much cash to spend, i'm starting this system from scratch i also need decent speakers for the inside of my car, any help would be appreciated

Simple realitivly cheap amp that would throw those subs excellent would be something like a Rockford 250.2. That will give more than enough power per channel for the tornados. And no you dident just get crappy subs, Tornados and great subs for the money. Goood luck with your system.

I would second the amplifier choice- however, I have nothing good to say about the Tornado subs....

They are IMO very poorly designed and sound like arse.......

All of the installs I have done with these, every single one of them has failed with very moderate power.

I would first look into a solid replacement for the subs, and concentrate on the amplifer next.

I heard a pair of them, they were 10's in a 91 300zx. he had them powered with a RF 800a2, which was complete overkill. And they dident sound to bad. They are only like 40 bucks each or something like that I think. I dident think it was bad for the money. Then again the amp could have been making the whole thing.
