I need an EFFICIENT amp

Looking for a 1k-1.5k rms amp for my 13dub 7. My electrical isn't that great, so I am going for effiency here. Voice coil options are final load of 3 ohm or .75ohm.

So what are some good efficient amps out there?

An Alpine PDX-1.1000 might be a good choice. The are supposed to be very efficient. I did a lot of research and everyone who has one of the PDX amps seems to really like it. UPS just brough mine today, so I havent had a chance to try it yet.

It is only rated down to 2, so that probably wouldn't be a good idea. It is digitally regulated though, so you will get the full 1000 W at 3 ohms....any other load b/t 2 & 4 ohms it puts out 1000 W.

Mmats are great amps and very efficient. Also the sundown is another good choice. You can't go wrong with either one.

the sundown 1500 would be a little too much power for the w7. Go with the Saz-1000d

But, the W7 will take the 1500d. Even if you have to back off the gain a little bit, its better than pushing the 1000d too far.

How much will the sundown 1500 put out at 3ohm? Im assuming it will put out too much at .75?

The Sundown is pretty easy on the electrical. At .75 it is going to put out some good power though. You'll just need to set the gains correctly according the sub specs. I would much rather have too much power than not enough.
