I need amplifier wiring help.....

What is the shortest length the distro block can be from the amp and battery? I plan on having them pretty close...I may screw the amp and distro block on the back of the box and put the battery on the side. Would this be too close? Im kinda short on space.

Im calm man just want to be able to knock erything out with the swiftness when they get here. So i do not have to hook up both sets of terminals? Just ground one of the negative terminals on the amp to the chassis and run a positive wire from the batt under the hood to the positive on the battery in the trunk....Run another positive wire from that battery to either positive terminal on the amp. Ground the battery in the trunk too the chassis......BAM

Right.
In fact if you have a battery in the back, why would you ever have needed one?
ok so run the + wire from under the hood to the amp...run another wire from the scond battery to the amps second power terminal....then run a single wire to both positves on the batteries (to include them in the charging system)...and finally run two ground wires from the amp to the chassis and ground them with the battery.....
