I need amplifier wiring help.....

I see I posted in the wrong section....

I have a Viper 2500D on the way and im going to need some help on running the second set of outputs...not familiar with them. Do I need a 2in and 2output fused distro block? Run both power wires "though" them and then to each battery? How do I hook up the second battery properly?

No I have one. I was told the viper2500D has two outputs like the Orion 2500D. I dont exactly know how too hook up the second set....I have two batteries tho...

okay, do you mean two positive terminals and 2 ground terminals? input and output generally refer to RCAs

If you have 2 batteries, then I would suppose that would work. Double fused distro block with a positive going to each battery. That help at all?

If you are saying that it has 2 pos's and two neg's, you don't need to hook up a second run of wire.

The amp manufacturer's were just giving you the option of running another run of wire into the amp because of the high current.

If you do want to run another run back from your front battery, you would just run another, separate, run back.

I know what he is asking I use to own a orion 2500d

you will need to run 1/0 from the front bat to a distro block and split it into 2 4 ga wires for power and you will need to run 1/0 ground to a distro or 2 seperate 4 ga grounds to the amp.

yes somewhat....so run both power wires through a distro block to each battery from the amp...ground each ground.....run both REMS...? How do I hook up the extra batt in the trunk? Just ground it? HOw does it stayed charged?

you will need to run the 2d bat in series with the front one so it is part of the cars charing system.

there will only be 1 remote wire terminal on the amp.

I would run 1/0 from the front to the 2nd bat then from there into a distro and split it into 2 4 ga to the amps power terminals.

ground the 2nd bat and the amp to the cars chassis

So I dont need to batteries? Also Orion Says both sets need to be hooked up....im getting a viper though...ok colt...

Run 0 guage from the batt to a distro block and run 2 power outs to each power input on the amp? Then ground each ground? CAn u use the same grounding points?
