Free delivery and no tax... I own that TV and it is GREAT! If you shop around you might be able to find it for a little less because it is not the most current model.
That is a great plasma, at a great price. Too bad its discontinued unit.

Be very careful with the sony projo's. Sony does not make them anymore. What you see now is what is leftover. They are going going to make LCD's from here on out.
Darn good ones too..
Yeah they are only making LCD's and they are moving into the OLED technology.

I know, which is why it serves its purpose for now. I am definitely a sucker for techy stuff, but priorities else where come first.
True that.

I have the 37" of that TV and love it!
I also have a Sony XBR5 and love that too, lol!
XBR5 is a beast of a TV. Hands down the best LCD TV on the market. I like the samsung 71 series from time to time... but too many colors and too much reflection.

my sis just picked up a sony bravia 42" and a 32" for 2400 installed/delivered on closeout. They are last years models but she was told that the only thing that changed was the case, not sure how true that is but seems like a dam good deal to me. I think she said she went to circuit city or best buy.

I love how people think if its not a pioneer elite xbr5 or 71 series its not worth a ****.

That 75 series panasonic will look amazing but I promise you'll get burn in with it. Anyone who claims differently doesn't know shit about tvs. Granted it will go away after a couple hours but you WILL get burn in. The pixel shift isn't great.....thats why that tv won't be around much longer. Anything else from panasonic is top notch IMO. I personally don't know how someone can think panasonics aren't good but to each his own.

On another note I think samsungs look like shit. The black is very dark but there isn't a samsung out there that knows what near-black is. Its like a blob of black and no details. Sucks for watching a really dark scene. Not only that but they look horrible on sd programming.

120Hz is a marketing ploy at best, imo. You really can't tell a huge difference in PQ, if at all... definitely not to justify the extra cost. If anything, I'd think the higher rating would just be easier on the eyes. I can't recommend the OP put that high on their list.

As for the previous samsung comment, to me it has its caveats. The upper end Samsungs do have deep black levels, but how accurate I couldn't say. They tend to have the higest contrast ratios and produce a very good picture, however it's been my experience that they tend to lack in SD reproduction, maybe it's that their de-interlacer isn't as good, I dunno, but the SD never seemed to look as good on them as it does on others that I've seen... then again, most only watch HD when they can help it, I'm the same way. SD is decent on my Sharp, about as good as I've seen on anything short of a Tube TV.

I have NEVER seen an HDTV that look anywhere near decent on sd programming, this includes my brothers new XBR5 (btw I have no idea why this expensive tv doesn't even have two coaxial inputs one for air one for regular cable when most other tv's I know do)

REGZA FTW
X2...I own 2 REGZAs...a 42" 720p in my bedroom and a 46" 1080p in my living room. No need for 1080p yet really unless you have a blu-ray player. If I'm not mistaken 1080i is the highest res your gonna get from digital cable...at least from my provider.

When I bought my 42" it was setup between a Samsung and a Sony...I liked it better than the Samsung (which was slightly higher $$$). I wanted the sony, but it wasn't enough difference to justify $750-$1000 increase.

Just because programming on high def cable is not 1080p does not mean you will not see a difference. Its not a HUGE difference but their obviously is a difference. From watching many HD TV's all day long, Mitsubishi's LCD's are HIGHLY over-rated. their 244 series sucks as a "competitor" to the XBR5 and Samsung 71 and 81 series.

that comment justifies me to say none of your comments are credible... you are obviously biased... thats like sayin Honda and Toyota's **** bro....to each their own opinion, BUT we all know the real facts.

Samsung doesnt rule HDTV's today on ratings for no reason bro. Check out some reviews... samsung has top 3/5 in almost every category under 55"
