I need a 3-4" Mid/High speaker that likes being crossed @ 1k or higher

Thats my problem, my amps only have crossovers for upto 250hz, and the amps filters will be turned off, the frequenices will be adjusted with the HU.

BUT Im using the HU's high rca output for this amp, which can only be crossed @ 1000 or higher I believe

Well, the way I understand it, is that because I am using that "high" rca output, which is individually controlled crossed/sloped and has a lowest crossover of 1000hz, that even if I hooked up an amp capable of crossing @ 500 or 1000, the HU would only send it the 1000+ "signals"??

The PE website did recomend both 500 or 1000 as a crossover, but I dont know if they will play well or not crossed at such a high freq, thats why Im in this dilemna witht his thread lol

Well like I said, since the amp thats powerring these horns, will be plugged into the HIGH rca output of the HU. and that high rca output will be crossed @ 1000 via HU. Will the amp not only see 1000hz+ signals and no matter what, no matter the amps crossover points, the horns wont even see frequencies below 1000

Most vocals are lower than that, but if youre only sending 1khz+, youre not going to get vocals no matter what. You just need louder mids. Get a nice big amp for your mids and swap them out to some pro audio.
