I need a 3-4" Mid/High speaker that likes being crossed @ 1k or higher

Thats my guess. Even on just HU power those ST350s should drown everything else out.

I would say give the D250 horns a shot. They do vocals soooooo **** loud.

Now I know nothing about horns, and am kinda skeptical to try them. Like how do they sound, they actually play the vocal words of a song like a speaker would, just not as much lows? Ive never had much luck with tweets etc. I do have a 4 chanel Dual amp that I can wire up and use since these horn drivers seem to like alot of power crossed @ 1000

Those horns are huge to, I dont think theres gonna be an appealing way to mount them were my rear view used to be lol, would i be able to put them one on each side of my wall on the 3/4" thick beauty panels behind the second row??? probably as high up as possible right and they would be facing the front of the car obviously...

If you put these in front of you and point them at your face you will most likely go blind and/or deaf.

These are way too big to mount in the roof. Just face them foward on the sides of the wall. They dont do any midbass as its just a horn, but they will do vocal and tweeter frequencies.

Just remember, a speaker only reproduces the signal you give it. I would look into buying a cheap little amp for them. Something like this would be great. I have Crunch amps on my highs now and they are killer for the price.

Bridge this amp and they would scream.

I did a search and cant find anyone else running them or any real reviews from an in car owner

You make them sound like there perfect for me, as they require the proper crossover point, play extremely loud vocals (my rsds lack the higher pitched vocal and rock tones) and if there gonna be fine mounted vertically and forward facing, Im pretty stoked.

Should run me about $100, but I needed some carpet from PE anyways. So you think that horn with that driver is the best combo within my budget to play some loud rock etc

Ive also already got 2 amps I can use for these, Ive got a Scoche 2 chanel that does 65rms @ 14.5 X 2 and a Dual 4 chanel amp that bridged does 150 X 2 @ 4ohm

So I should be ok for powerring them with one or the other

Definately. When you get them in you will need to beef up your mids though. You wont be able to hear your PGs.

Ive heard these horns in a ton of vehicles. All the cars with the big rims use them. In this video you can see a bunch of D250 horns and ST350 tweeters.

And with these horns, I wont need to do crazy tuning to get them to sound good? Like my hu does crossover points and slopes and has a 12 band eq. Id like to be able to just cut my beauty panels, throw in the horns and wire them to one of the amps, cross @ 1000 and have them sound dandy

Bridge the amp @ 4 ohms. Wire it like this.

Oh ok didnt know that never works with 8ohm before. It does 250 bridged so that should be ok.

Maybe I dont know enough about frequencies and what sound is playing at the frequency, but arent the coals in the 500-800 range? Using a 1000hz crossover, im kinda stumped on how they would play vocals well....
