I need a 3-4" Mid/High speaker that likes being crossed @ 1k or higher

Long story short I dont like the selenium st350's.

Ive got (4) 6.5" pg rsd speakers fiberglassed in the doors, no crossovers or tweets, using my decks great tuning options for that. And I was running the seleniums in a custom spot were the REAR VIEW was, off axis. So I am looking for something to fill the spot.

Well my deck has 3 rca outputs, sub/mid/high and each can be individually crossed/gained/sloped differently

The high rca output, which is being powerred by a 2 channel that does 65X2 @ 4ohm will be crossed at 1000khz.

And Ive yet to find a small speaker that will fit the bill

So I am looking for a speaker that plays very well being crossed at that (or even higher)

I was thinking of going with the 3.5" RSD speakers, but dont know if there are better options. Would like to keep it below $100 for the pair, lower the better.

I dont know anything bout speaks so can someone enlighten me on teh joke.

That sounds like a horrible setup but I do have a pair of Dayton RS100 4" drivers. They work from about 150hz - 6khz or so. I also have Dayton RS28A-4 large format tweeters that reach down pretty low, they're also about 4" in diameter.

Horrible setup? The RSDs sound great on there own actually with as much power as Im giving them. There just lacking a little midrange/highs obviously and are crossed @ 80

I just need something small that will sound nice crossed at 1k, even if I have to use a 6db slope for it Im sure i can make some speaker sound pretty good, just need some suggestions.

Hoping that the speaker also is fairly visually appealing to as it is in a very visible position

The L4 plays from 140Hz to 17kHz with ease.There are some users not using tweeters in their systems.

Most people wont hear much past 17k anyways. Im sure that would work just fine.
